In the grim alley behind a pulsing nightclub, Chain of Custody casts players as a weary first responder investigating a woman’s murder from a botched drug deal. At 2:37 AM, the scene is stark: a woman lies shot, stripped to her underwear, her clothes piled nearby, hinting at a rushed cover-up. The air reeks of trash and blood, with nightclub music and flickering lights amplifying the eerie vibe. A witness fled, leaving clues. By placing evidence markers, players must prioritize critical finds to uncover the motive, questioning each clue’s validity. The alley’s creaks and shadows suggest danger lurks. Driven to get home, the cynical officer faces a tense investigation where wrong choices stall the case, blending forensic strategy with gritty horror.

This was actually REALLY cool to play! I'm really hoping it gets expanded later on--some of those objects were hard to find, and I enjoyed figuring out which bits of evidence had to be used. I really would love a longer game of this SO much. (really lol)

The graphics were surprisingly good for a game jam game, and the lighting was really well done as well. I'm pretty shocked this was made for a jam tbh. Also, kudos for the voice acting--it was pretty darn good. Since the game kind of restarted on death/failure, there were no credits, so I'm assuming it's not AI, but I'm not 100% sure--I can't always tell personally.

Thanks, @alexisrables. Although I don't want to completely give away my development secrets, I did use some AI in the creation of the game. I really enjoyed making this noir title. I might create an expanded version and release it on Steam—solve several scenes that culminate in one of three possible endings.

If you ever do, I'd like to play it for sure! And if the voice acting WAS the AI part, honestly I couldn't even tell!

Will do @alexisrables. I had fun making it, so I won’t mind creating more content for it.
